Book Drive September 2025

Our book drive was a huge success, thanks to our amazing host at OurHouse and all of the brilliant+strong volunteers from BTB-NYC.

We were joined by comrades from ABC No Rio, NYC Anarchist Black Cross, Books for Rikers, Equality for Flatbush, Free Jakhi, Friends of Hart Island, Prison Library Support Network, NYC Public Library Action Network, Research and Destroy, Uptown Free Store, and Workshops 4 Gaza, who tabled and gave speeches.

People donated so many books from our most requested genres: comics, manga, graphic novels
trade, business, personal finance, how-to, drawing, art, coloring, Spanish language, bilingual dictionaries, wicca, paganism, santeria, occult, workout and yoga guides, history. especially Black, Indigenous, + South American, tabletop RPG guides, puzzles, wordfind, crossword, music history + biographies, and genre fiction such as true crime, thriller, romance, fantasy + sci-fi.

We had live screenprinting! We had three new BTB NYC designs from screenprinter Ismenia. People were very excited to choose from the used sweatshirts + t-shirts donated to us by the Big Reuse, and choose the color and placement of the designs.

We are so excited to send the books out to people inside who write us.
